a particular lack of skill

i feel as if i should be worrying legitimately about what i'm going to end up doing this summer, but i'm not...in some ways i don't really care that much. if the rest of the world (read: my parents) would be ok with it, i could seriously be happy just traveling through china and writing a book. as it is i'll take what i can get.
