Dim sum: check.
Sneak eleven people into one room at one of the best hotels in SF: check.
Watch horror movie: check.
Go to bookstore and read and debate what the golden ratio is, 1.59 or 1.68 or somewhere in between: check, and double-check.
Sit outside at Twin Peaks at night, wrapped in blankets, watching the beautiful city spread out in lights below: check.
A good start to a good vacation during a good year in a good life.*
*while we were playing the "say something you like about the person to the right of you" game, vincent said that he liked that I was always happy and cheerful and easygoing. judging by my posts here....that's very true. I guess I'm having a good year (or life) or something. next time I'll watch a depressing movie before I write so there will be some variety in my posts.

naps, late nights
I guess I'm bad at getting to sleep early. I didn't even do any work tonight. I just read, took a nap (maybe that's why I'm bad at getting to sleep early!), went to late night, and talked to CS and Gary on MSN while sitting ten feet away from one and one foot away from the other. I'll regret it later in the week, probably, when I have this problem set to do and won't be able to play Cranium with the others again. But. It was a good night. I miss my Austin friends. Especially Allison tonight, for some random reason...hmm...
There are few people in the world who I think I really naturally connect with. Jeffrey, Peng, Gary, Xiaoxuan, and Aaron at one point. Most other people I have to work to get to know, and more often than not the working pays off spectacularly (like with Daniel, and my draw group), but it takes a while.
I think tomorrow I'll be productive! I can feel it! Cross your fingers!

ill-timed phone calls
Today I managed to make Daniel's phone ring while he was talking to Norman Mailer. Oops. In my defense, he DID NOT tell me he was talking to Norman Mailer. I thought I was only interrupting him during class or something.
Spellbound is so cute!!
I went to my room at 11:00 PM to get my notebook, and discovered the door was locked. Strange, since I purposefully left it unlocked. I knocked; ten seconds later, the door was opened and I saw Trevor peering at me from a dark room. Then I was dragged inside and heard Winnie's voice telling me to look on top of my wardrobe. There, eight feet up in the air, was Yao. Still dark, remember! I couldn't even tell it was a person, but what I thought was a cup on the wardrobe was actually...a shoe. They apparently "felt like scaring people" and so were camping out in my room waiting for Clare to get back so they could pop out. Crazy people.

i'm all grown up
It's time for a new blog. Maybe I'll actually write in here. I must be motivated. I must not waste time. I'm not sure if this counts as wasting time...hmm. Well, I'm not doing PWR and not sleeping and most definitely not writing anything useful here, so I guess that would be a yes.
I remember last time I had a blog hosted by blogger. That was....four years ago. That was also a minor disaster.
I like to think I'm more mature now :D
